About The Show
An art exhibition of marginalized Appalachian artists whose work is shaped by lived experience and community ties.
Curated by MoreLove, a Morehead, Kentucky nonprofit serving marginalized folks, we aim to uplift the artistic voices of the marginalized members of our region. In this, showcasing the vast stories, experiences, and ideas the diverse identities and individuals of Appalachia have to offer, expressed through the visual media of art.
Led by Exhibition Curator Amiee Compton, we believe it is important to give a megaphone to the voices that often are not heard and to accurately represent our community by showcasing our diversity, which makes us stronger. No matter who we are or what the paths of life we have walked, we as a unit come together to make one beautifully culturally rich region.
E Pluribus Unum — Out of many, one.
