About MoreLove
MoreLove is a Morehead, Kentucky nonprofit serving marginalized folks.
MoreLove is powered by an ecosystem of volunteers working together. We have three core leadership roles: our Board of Trustees oversees the organization’s direction, our Officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly, and our Committee Chairs carry out MoreLove’s projects and initiatives, this page is mostly about them.
Much of MoreLove’s work is sustained by our Committee Chairs and the volunteers who serve alongside them. A closer look:

Founded in 2024
MoreLove began with neighbors, community members, and local business owners taking collective action to support marginalized people more intentionally. In a rural place like ours, barriers are often magnified by distance, limited infrastructure, and a lack of visibility.
In the face of growing hostility toward marginalized people, our community chose to respond with care, by forming MoreLove: a Morehead, Kentucky based nonprofit serving marginalized folks.
MoreLove co-founder Eli Banks (they/he/she) developed our mission and organizational framework as a New Leaders Council capstone project. The MoreLove co-founding team grounded that mission through hands-on support and selfless community connection.
Today, MoreLove shows up through direct support, advocacy, and community-centered events that create welcoming, affirming spaces rooted in dignity and respect.
We believe in the power of compassionate action to create meaningful change.
MoreLove is led by community-engaged professionals who see challenges as opportunities for meaningful connection and progress.
